Privacy Policy
Effective as of October 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Muse Models.ai Inc. ("Muse", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information. It applies to:
- www.musemodels.ai (the "Site");
- the Muse Customer Portal;
- conversations with Muse live AI avatars;
- the services we provide to customers (together, the "Services").
By using the Services you acknowledge the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you give us
- Contact and inquiry details: for example name, email, company, website and your message, when you contact us, submit a brand inquiry or start an application.
- Account information: when you sign in to the Customer Portal with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile image and Google account identifier.
- Billing information:
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't receive or store your full card number.
- We receive limited details from Stripe, such as card brand, last four digits, expiry date, billing address and payment status.
- Business information for building your influencer:
- your website and the materials you provide, such as logos, brand assets, product details, media, target audience and competitors;
- your approvals, feedback and requests.
- Performance data: metrics about the content published and ads run for your influencer, such as views, engagement, clicks, conversions and ad results. You submit these to us, for example weekly through the Customer Portal, unless we receive them directly through an integration you've authorised (Section 1.4).
- Communications: emails, support requests and other messages you send us.
1.2 Conversations with Muse live AI avatars
Some Muse experiences let you talk by voice or text with an AI avatar, for example an AI influencer on our Site. When you use them:
- Voice: your voice is processed in real time to convert speech to text and to generate the avatar's spoken replies. We retain a transcript of the conversation. We do not retain the audio recording.
- Transcripts: we store a transcript of the conversation, including both your messages and the avatar's replies.
- What you share: anything you tell the avatar, such as your name, email, company or needs, may be stored with the transcript. It may also be added to our customer-relationship records, for example if you ask to book a call or submit a form.
- Technical data: session identifiers, timestamps, device and browser information.
You are always told that you're talking with an AI. Please don't share sensitive personal information, such as health, financial-account or government ID information, in a conversation.
1.3 Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers collect information through cookies and similar technologies. That includes IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, access times, and identifiers derived from your name and email where you provide them. See Section 4.
1.4 Information from third parties
- Sign-in: from Google, when you sign in.
- Payments: from Stripe, as described above.
- Social and advertising platforms: where you authorise an integration, we receive performance and audience metrics directly from the social, advertising and Owned Audience platforms used for your influencer. Where there's no integration, you provide these metrics to us yourself.
- Public sources: publicly available information about your company, market and competitors, which we use to research your business.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate and support the Services, including researching your business and building, operating and improving your AI influencer;
- produce content according to your plan;
- measure performance and improve content over time, which is "continuous performance learning";
- create and manage your account, process payments and automatic renewals, and send account, billing and service notices;
- respond during live AI avatar conversations, follow up on requests made in them, and improve those experiences;
- respond to inquiries, schedule calls and communicate with prospective customers;
- send marketing communications, which you can opt out of (Section 10);
- run analytics and advertising measurement, as described in Section 4;
- protect the security of the Services and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorised chargebacks and misuse;
- comply with law and enforce our agreements, including billing and collection;
- improve Muse Engine using aggregated and de-identified information across customers. We never disclose one customer's confidential information or identifiable organisation data to another customer, and never use it in another customer's services;
- for any other purpose we describe when you provide the information, or with your consent.
3. How we share information
We don't sell personal information for money. We share it with:
- Service providers that process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use to providing services to us:
- website hosting and databases;
- payment processing (Stripe);
- sign-in (Google);
- customer-relationship management;
- scheduling;
- email and form delivery;
- analytics and advertising measurement (Section 4);
- AI service providers: large-language-model, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, avatar-rendering and real-time-communication providers that power Muse Engine and live AI avatar conversations.
- Social and advertising platforms, as needed to publish or measure content for your influencer.
- Legal and safety: when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Muse, our users or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of assets.
- With your consent or at your direction.
4. Cookies, tracking and analytics
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies on our public website to operate it, measure performance, understand how visitors use it and support advertising. Tools we currently use there include:
- Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API: measure actions on our Site and report them to Meta for advertising measurement and optimisation. Examples are page views, plan selections, checkout starts and purchases. Some events are sent from your browser and some from our servers.
- Google Analytics 4: helps us understand website traffic and usage.
- Microsoft Clarity: aggregated usage analytics, including heatmaps and session replay of on-site interactions.
We don't use these tools to collect sensitive categories of personal information.
Customer Portal:
- We don't run the Meta Pixel or session-replay tools inside the signed-in Customer Portal.
- The Portal may send a small number of server-side conversion events to measurement partners, such as "checkout started" and "purchase".
- If you've opted out (Section 6), or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we don't send identifiable advertising data about you for those events. We record your choice with your checkout, so it also applies to events confirmed later, such as a completed purchase.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: there is no common industry standard for Do Not Track, so we don't currently respond to it. We do treat the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We apply it automatically to the browser that sends it.
5. "Sale" and "sharing" under U.S. state laws
We don't sell personal information for money, and we don't sell or share biometric data. However, our use of advertising and analytics tools, in particular the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising under certain U.S. state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended. You can opt out as described in Section 6.
6. Your privacy choices
You can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising at any time, in either of these ways:
- select "Your Privacy Choices" in the Site footer, or "Privacy choices" on our cookie notice;
- enable the Global Privacy Control in a supported browser.
When you opt out on a device, we:
- stop sending identifiable advertising data about you to advertising partners;
- disable applicable analytics and session-recording tools for that device;
- use available platform privacy controls where applicable.
These choices are stored on your device, so you may need to repeat them on other devices or after clearing cookies. Your choice also applies to our Customer Portal on the same browser. You can also email info@musemodels.ai.
7. Your state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- confirm whether we process your personal information, and access it;
- correct or delete it;
- receive a portable copy;
- opt out of targeted advertising, "sale" or "sharing", and certain profiling.
Contact info@musemodels.ai to exercise these rights. We will respond within the time required by law and won't discriminate against you for exercising them. If we deny your request, you may appeal, and our response will explain how.
7.1 Deletion
On receipt of a verifiable request, we will delete your personal information and direct our service providers to do the same. We won't do this where the law allows us to keep it, for example to:
- complete a transaction or perform our contract with you;
- detect security incidents or fraud;
- debug;
- comply with a legal obligation;
- use it internally in ways compatible with the context in which you provided it.
8. Owned Audience: information we process for customers
On plans that include Owned Audience, Muse may build and operate an audience channel for a customer, such as a newsletter or subscriber list. In that case:
- Muse processes the personal information of the customer's audience members on behalf of that customer, under the customer's instructions;
- the customer is responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any consents its audience members require;
- audience members who want to exercise privacy rights should contact the customer. Muse will help the customer respond.
The customer owns and controls its Owned Audience. Muse acts as its service provider, operating the channel while the customer's plan is active and authorised. That processing is governed by a data-processing addendum between Muse and the customer, entered into before the channel starts. When the service ends, Muse's access ends.
9. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, unless the law requires or permits longer:
| Category | Retention |
|---|---|
| Customer account, business information, Research reports, Growth Plans and Content records | For as long as your account exists, plus 12 months after it's closed or deleted, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Ending a subscription doesn't close your account. Paid-for Research and Growth Plans stay readable. |
| Live AI avatar conversation transcripts | 24 months from the conversation. Audio is never retained. |
| Inquiry and prospect records | 24 months from the last contact |
| Website Package purchase, intake and delivery records (for customers who may not have a Customer Portal account) | For as long as needed to deliver and support the package, plus 12 months after delivery or your last active interaction with us, subject to applicable law |
| Billing and tax records | As long as the law requires (typically up to 7 years) |
| Analytics and advertising data | According to each tool's retention settings |
10. Email communications
We may email you announcements, offers, alerts, confirmations and surveys, and we may receive a notification when you open an email or click a link in it. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, or by emailing info@musemodels.ai. Account, billing and service notices are part of the Services and can't be turned off while you have a plan.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. These include encryption in transit (TLS), access controls and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will investigate promptly and notify you and the relevant regulators as required by law.
12. Children
The Services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Where information is processed
Muse is based in the United States, and all paid self-service purchases (Customer Portal plans and Website Packages) are currently available only to businesses located in the United States. The Site can be viewed from anywhere. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
14. Links to other sites
The Site links to other websites. We're not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy, for example when our services, our practices or the law change. We will post the new version with its effective date. For significant changes, we'll also notify customers by email or with a notice on the Site.
